These instructions specifically refer to the Video Carousel feature that is displayed on your Home Page.
Set Up
In your Dashboard go to Homepage Menu then select Video Carousel.
Start with the Edit Content section. In this area you can add a Title to the section, write unlimited Text in the body text area and generally be creative using the WYSIWYG box.
Also, this area is where you set this Block to be Active or Not Active – so that it appears on your website or not.
Embedding Videos
Next, head down to the Add Video menu item and click Add Video.
Compete the usual fields. Here are a few pointers for specific input fields:
Image – you can choose to overlay an image to display in the video box on your website. This is purely aesthetic. You do not need to add an image.
Text Line 1, Text Line 2 – this is text that appears when user clicks on the video pop up.
Embed Url – this is the embed url for the video. IMPORTANT: an Embed Url is different to the “normal” url. You have to go to a specific section in YouTube to copy it. More on this below.
Video Track Url – this is where you can link to a specific track or album on your website that has a direct relation to the content of your video. For example your video might feature your latest music track. You can then link directly to that music track from the video pop up modal – so users can go directly to it after watching your video.
Adding YouTube Embed Url
Head over to your YouTube video. Click on Share and then select Embed. Here you’ll see a bunch of “code”. Within this you will see the embed video url. Copy and paste only this url section. Do not copy the whole code.
Add this url to the Embed Url field on your dashboard.
Set Up Complete
After you have successfully added your Title and urls etc your page should look similar to the below. Note how we have configured the urls.
